Contrary to appearances, this text will not be about psychocybernetics as a field of contemporary science. I use the term because, in my personal view, it adequately captures the meaning and resonance of a new direction in Psychotronics and broadly understood Magic – a direction that has emerged from the activity of online communities interested in these subjects.
The internet, ever since it entered common use as a global network connecting millions of people and enabling rapid access to desired information as well as equally easy publication of new material – well, I don’t need to explain its reach and significance to you, do I? 🙂 After all, you belong to this community too – since you’re reading these words, you know perfectly well how far its influence extends. Nevertheless, I mention this at the outset, because it will form the basis for our further reflections.
As I said, the internet connects people – but what does Psychotronics or Magic have to do with that? Quite a lot, it turns out. Not every internet user is interested in the topic of extrasensory perception – that’s a fact. But many people use it – even in a completely unconscious, inadvertent way.
Have you ever thought about the contrast between someone who has fully adapted to internet communication – using the keyboard intuitively and automatically after years of use, unbothered by the constant typing that irritates others – versus someone who hasn’t? As it turns out, the process of adapting to this environment is long-term, but it also unfolds at the level of extrasensory perception.
Another example: How often do we encounter people who complain that internet contact is only a poor substitute for the “real thing,” and who therefore seem quite skeptical about it – precisely because they haven’t yet adapted to this environment?
What is it that actually conditions our sense of the “fullness” of a given contact – and what makes “live” contact seem better? Personally, setting aside the emotional factors that come into play for two people deeply in love who need maximum togetherness and thus physical closeness as well – I can say that there is no real difference, or rather there need not be – beyond the simple fact that we can physically see or touch another person. But why should that matter? Is physical appearance really an indicator of what a person truly represents? I don’t think so.
Physical appearance can be misleading. This is precisely what makes certain people initially quite skeptical of what they obtain through internet contact. This is the domain of the newly initiated – characterized in this early period by significant detachment from their online activity and by living a double life: one “normal,” and another on the internet. After stepping away from the computer, such a person treats what they experienced online as pure fantasy, a fairy tale – something unreal. They can chat with people via IRC, forums, or various discussion lists, and yet because they don’t truly believe in the reality of these experiences, they remain disconnected from the energetic dimension of what they encounter.
Experienced practitioners, by contrast, orient themselves perfectly in the “psychological profile” of an encountered person based on seemingly insignificant remarks – and can quickly recognize exactly who they’re dealing with. This works in reverse as well: such people are accepted much more quickly by others like them, because they communicate with great precision and don’t look like Alice who just fell down the rabbit hole.
Patience – I know some of you are starting to get impatient, thinking: “Going around and around and can’t land.” 😉 But it’s precisely these observations – seemingly obvious as they are – that gave me the foundation for reflections leading to very fascinating conclusions, when viewed from a broader perspective. What I mean is simply this: a person, as a result of “limited” (seemingly) contact that excludes seeing the physical form of their interlocutor or hearing their voice (and thus its timbre and resonance, which in everyday life provides us with so much information), is in a sense forced to develop – or rather to sharpen – already existing parapsychic senses that enable communication on the extrasensory level. Not in a form detached from the internet’s structure, but in a form completely integrated with it – and therefore fascinating from a technical standpoint.
The first faculty to develop is intuition based on empathy. This empathic intuition operates by perceiving the energetic trace encoded in a message – specifically the emotional energy (and more) that the sender unconsciously embeds, to a greater or lesser degree, in everything they write. This allows for a fuller perception – far superior, for those familiar with the subject, to observing the appearance, gestures, or tone of voice of a conversation partner. Those can be controlled in order to deceive; on the energetic level, however, lying is nearly impossible.
This kind of intuition is only the beginning. Over time, the means of internet contact transform into means of contact also on the extrasensory level. People who communicate this way, whether they intend to or not, simultaneously with their live conversation or writing and reading emails, cast so-called energetic links and establish energetic connections with those they are in contact with. In this regard, one can speak of a free and natural bond – one that doesn’t emerge any more intrusively than contact at the physical level. As a result of this kind of perception, many people – without even thinking about it – quickly absorb a great deal of data about the person they’ve encountered.
Ironically, the internet provides far less anonymity than some might wish. Of course, the unconscious development of this kind of communication is only the tip of the iceberg. Thanks to the ease of exchanging and disseminating information, the internet has become home to a new generation of PSI practitioners and Mages. People of this kind gained the ability to quickly connect with one another regardless of the distances separating them – enabling group action and rapid exchange of information. This led to such a popularization of the subject that today one can safely say: if someone searches, they will find – and that wasn’t always the case, especially in the era before the internet.
People engaged in broadly understood extrasensory perception quickly discovered how functional a structure the internet is, and turned it into a powerful tool. In the case of extrasensory perception within ordinary email, IRC, or chat contacts, it was precisely they – aware of the energetic dimension of communication – who led the way. This is not always used for noble purposes. As always happens when a new capability is discovered – the ways of exploiting it vary depending on which group of people chooses to take advantage of it. While for the average person their additional perceptual abilities in internet contact mean only the opportunity to absorb more data and better understand others – for communities that parasitize on mental and emotional energy, it looks far less rosy.
Freedom of information served as the perfect cover for draining the vital energy of unsuspecting people. The mechanism is simple, and its effectiveness is devastating. Such individuals frequently lurk in social media communities related to spiritual development (because that kind of energy naturally tastes better to them), scanning for the most suitable victims before beginning to feed. It also happens that they attack an entire group at once. “Emotional vampires” have perfectly adapted to this environment, taking advantage of the power of words and the fact that they remain essentially invisible and unreachable by their victims.
However, the use of the internet in Magic and Psychotronics extends far beyond its negative aspects. In terms of actual psychotronic and magical practice, a project of this kind differs very little from a software project: a core is written, functions are coded, and so on. In parallel, ancient runic symbols are used – symbols whose properties form an integral part of such projects. In this way, psychocybernetics takes on a new and vivid meaning.
The internet also inspires the creation of communication systems existing almost in parallel on the extrasensory level, as well as the creation of servitors around them – servitors that often fulfill functions analogous to BOTs on old IRC channels. Like security systems on servers, increasingly elaborate energetic barriers arise to protect the safety and integrity of such groups.
Many practitioners incorporate elements such as Fire, Water, Earth, and Air into their internet-based projects. In times when Psychotronics and Magic have entered the new dimension of cyber-existence, those ancient powers have not been forgotten or displaced – they are still thriving, and for many people remain an indispensable part of their way of working. Development has also given rise to new powers: the elements of the new millennium – electricity, glass, steel.
All of this unfolds in communities capable of guaranteeing a degree of anonymity when operating online – communities that coexist in worlds that once seemed diametrically opposed. Who would have thought that “soulless” technology and computerization could go hand in hand with spirituality, with the use of Psychotronics and all of Magic in its most elevated and spectacular form – the very forms that had until now been hidden deep in the mystical zones of existence?
Indeed – futuristic visions had considered such possibilities, but here we are confronted with a fully tangible reality, in the most practical of forms. So where are we headed? This question arose in me right after I realized that even such a fascinating direction has moved from purely theoretical reflection into lived practice. The mode of communication based on combining physical perception with extrasensory perception will, in my view, function for a long time yet – until people develop a more collective consciousness, and PSI-level communication becomes as natural as today’s use of the internet.
When will that happen? We of course don’t know – but certainly sooner than we might think.
