Character Creation

Attribute Distribution

Each character has 40 points to distribute among nine attributes. No attribute can be lower than 1 or higher than 10.

Character Attributes:


Intelligence

  • Description: Intellectual abilities, affecting problem-solving, knowledge of technology and magic.
  • Significance: Intelligence affects technical, scientific and magical skills, allowing for better utilization of advanced technology and magic.


Willpower

  • Description: Willpower, determination and mental resilience, affecting paranormal abilities and resistance to mental manipulation.
  • Significance: High Willpower increases resistance to mind control, fear and strengthens the character’s paranormal abilities.


PSI Energy

  • Description: The character’s spiritual energy, used to activate paranormal and magical abilities.
  • Significance: PSI Energy is essential for using telepathic, telekinetic and other paranormal abilities.


Perception

  • Description: The ability to notice details and detect hidden things. Crucial for espionage and reconnaissance activities.
  • Significance: High Perception enables better detection of traps, tracks and more effective completion of tasks requiring precise observation.


Charisma

  • Description: The ability to influence others, negotiate and lead.
  • Significance: High Charisma facilitates persuading NPCs, forming alliances and effective command in situations requiring cooperation.


Strength

  • Description: The character’s physical strength, affects combat abilities and carrying capacity.
  • Significance: High Strength allows for more effective use of melee weapons, carrying heavy equipment and forcing open locked doors.


Endurance

  • Description: Physical resilience, affecting health, stamina and capacity for prolonged effort.
  • Significance: Endurance increases hit points (HP) and damage resistance, and also allows for longer periods in difficult conditions.


Agility

  • Description: Physical dexterity and reflexes, important for avoiding attacks, stealth and actions requiring precision.
  • Significance: Agility improves effectiveness in ranged combat, dodging blows and performing precise actions.


Synchronicity

  • Description: The ability to manipulate coincidences, affecting the character’s luck and potential reality bending.
  • Significance: Synchronicity enables the creation of favourable coincidences, increases chances of avoiding dangers and finding valuable items.

  • Intelligence: 9
  • Willpower: 6
  • PSI Energy: 5
  • Perception: 7
  • Charisma: 8
  • Strength: 6
  • Endurance: 8
  • Agility: 7
  • Synchronicity: 5

Skill Selection
  • Players choose 5 skills as their primary skills. Each of these skills starts with a +2 bonus.
  • Remaining skills start with no bonus.

Perk Selection
  • At the start of the game, the character chooses 2 perks from the list of available perks.

Perks:

  • Master Telepath: +2 to Telepathy.
  • Telekinetic Warrior: +2 to Telekinesis.
  • Energy Manipulator: +2 to PSI Energy Manipulation.
  • Astrogation Genius: +2 to Astrogation.
  • Sharpshooter: +2 to Shooting.
  • Engineering Prodigy: +2 to Engineering.
  • Medic: +2 to Medicine.
  • Leader: +2 to Leadership.
  • Negotiator: +2 to Diplomacy.
  • Survival Expert: +2 to Survival.
  • Stealth Specialist: +2 to Stealth.
  • Researcher: +2 to Science.
  • Mechanic: +2 to Mechanics.
  • Trader: +2 to Trade.
  • Tactician: +2 to Tactics.
  • Psychic Healer: +2 to Psycho-regeneration.
  • Synchronic Visionary: +2 to Psychoprediction.
  • Meditation Master: +2 to Meditation and increased resistance to mental attacks.
  • Etiquette Expert: +2 to Etiquette.

Calculating Hit Points (HP)
  • Hit Points (HP) are calculated as 10 + Endurance attribute.

Example:

  • Endurance: 8
  • HP: 10 + 8 = 18

Calculating PSI Energy Points (PE)
  • PSI Energy Points (PE) are calculated as 10 + PSI Energy attribute.

Example:

  • PSI Energy: 7
  • PE: 10 + 7 = 17

Equipment Selection
  • Players choose basic equipment at the start of the game, including weapons, armour and other items.

Example Equipment:

  • Weapon: Type II Phaser
  • Armour: Light space suit
  • Equipment: Tricorder, Medkit, Communicator
