Below are tips that I hope will help you in these interesting, challenging times.

1. Trust Your Intuition
Each of us has intuition that activates in exceptional situations to help us make the right choice, even when we seemingly know nothing about a given topic. Intuition can be understood as an instinct present in every human being, or as spiritual guidance – but in either case it undeniably helps us navigate life. Listen to your inner voice. It can deliver unexpected, genuinely valuable perspective.

2. Be Flexible
Times of challenge – which usually mean significant change in both our personal world and the world around us – are times when flexibility proves essential. Stay consistently open to new perspectives, unconventional solutions, and new ideas. Above all, maintain the ability to adapt your actions to new circumstances. Human beings possess enormous adaptive capacity, and history confirms this again and again.

3. Choose Your Attitude to the Situation
When we are faced with a done deal, the only thing that remains in our hands is how we position ourselves relative to it and how we adapt. When change comes, we often have a choice: we can define ourselves as victims of the situation, or we can adapt and treat the event as a challenge, a test, and an opportunity for growth. When changes happen that we are subject to – look for the constructive actions available to us within the situation we are in.

4. Look at the Situation as an Opportunity for Something New
Sometimes life delivers a stimulus for development and new beginnings that we would never have chosen for ourselves. Human beings tend toward stagnation when there is no reason to act – and in extreme cases this leads to torpor, which leads to entropy. Change is a motivation to face something new, begin a new action, or look at a familiar question from a fresh angle. Use it.

5. Remember That You Are Also a Spiritual Being
I dedicate this point to those who, like me, know that we are also spiritual beings. In times of challenge, remember that you are not only a physical body – you are a magnificent, powerful spiritual being that treats life’s challenges as an opportunity for growth and the acquisition of valuable experience. And because while inhabiting physical bodies we are simultaneously spiritual beings, we can always draw on spiritual wisdom, inspiration, and sometimes additional energy flowing to us from the spiritual realm. Each of us has what are called Spiritual Guardians – known in Christian culture as guardian angels. Remember that you can call on their help – but do so from a position of inner certainty and self-respect, not from your knees. You are a full sovereign being of the universe. You don’t owe anyone a bow, unless it’s out of courtesy.

6. Be Active
In times of change and challenge, it is vitally important to remain active. Stagnation and passive surrender to whatever is happening around you means allowing yourself to become a helpless leaf in the wind – when you can navigate your own life, and you should. Activity means taking the initiative. Either the world will dictate your life, or you will decide what you do with your life and actively begin creating the quality and actions that you choose – and want – to be your experience.

7. Nurture Friendships and Build Positive Relationships
In times of change and challenge, the relationships we have with people matter enormously. Actively invest in your friendships, and look for opportunities to form new positive connections. Together we can do more – we can help each other, complement each other’s talents, and carry each other through. The human network is one of our greatest resources, and times of difficulty are precisely when it becomes most visible.

8. Be Authentically Yourself
More important than anything external is feeling that you are authentically yourself – that you are doing what you internally feel and recognize as right for you. It matters deeply to live in accordance with who you actually are. Look for opportunities at every step to express yourself truly and authentically, and to create what comes genuinely from your heart.

If you are looking for additional perspectives on growth and development, you are welcome to reach out – together we may be able to create something interesting. 🙂
