In this article I’ll introduce one of the most fascinating and scientifically grounded techniques for activating and using extrasensory perception to obtain valuable information – information that is often unavailable through any other means.

Many people hearing about extrasensory perception for the first time ask: “OK, but if this actually works, why isn’t it talked about? Why don’t the military or intelligence agencies use it?” Well – they do. At least the intelligence services of the world’s major powers have been using extrasensory perception for a very long time.

The History of Remote Viewing

The Cold War created an arms race of a very particular kind. When US intelligence discovered that the Soviet Union had a parapsychic spy program, the reaction was immediate: “If the Russians have psychic spies, we cannot fall behind them in this field!” The decision was made to launch a military research program and begin training PSI spies – PSI from the Greek letter Ψ (psi). In psychology Ψ denotes the psyche; in parapsychology it refers to all paranormal phenomena.

The research produced a remarkable result: it was possible to train individuals to use extrasensory perception in a structured, controlled way – to perceive a target they had never been told about and provide accurate descriptions of it. The instances of success under strict scientific protocols, as used by US intelligence, are officially confirmed – thanks to American laws requiring the declassification of military information after a set period of time. We know the Americans used Remote Viewing successfully, and there is extensive documentary evidence on the subject.

The declassified information also inspired films, including The Men Who Stare at Goats – a somewhat humorous treatment of the topic, but nonetheless based on real events.

The Two Pillars of Remote Viewing

1. Blind targets. The perceiving person does not know the target being researched. They receive only a target cue – typically a random numerical identifier – and must perceive and describe the actual target using extrasensory perception alone. This eliminates pre-formed opinions, expectations, and the activation of imagination based on prior knowledge. When we don’t know what we’re looking at, our mind has nothing to latch onto – and that opens space for genuine perception.

2. Division of roles. There is a clear division between the viewer – who uses extrasensory perception and receives only the target cue – and the monitor, who runs the session. This division was born from an important discovery: one of the biggest obstacles to effective extrasensory perception is the activation of analytical thinking during the act of perceiving. If we simply allow ourselves to passively receive impressions without internally judging, evaluating, or analyzing them as they arrive, the quality of perception increases dramatically. The monitor’s job is to handle the analytical layer – keeping the session structured and asking neutral clarifying questions – while the viewer focuses entirely on receiving.

When the Target Turned Out to Be Something Else Entirely

As Remote Viewing research progressed, something unexpected began happening. Sessions that were meant to focus on material targets – an enemy missile silo, a military installation – produced encounters with something quite different. Luminous beings appeared to the viewers, seemingly trying to draw their attention to something they considered far more important.

Imagine the confusion of the military personnel and the viewers themselves: tasked with surveillance of a physical facility, and suddenly finding themselves in contact with non-physical intelligence. These events sparked a whole chain of subsequent research that continues to this day.

What Remote Viewing Does to the Person Who Practices It

A person who develops extrasensory perception through Remote Viewing doesn’t just gain a useful perceptual skill. They stop thinking only in terms of personal tasks and external goals, and begin to see reality – and their place within it – in a fundamentally broader way. The practice quietly expands consciousness, develops intuition, and tends to transform how a person relates to themselves and the world around them.

Remote Viewing is, in the end, not just a research tool. It is one of the most reliable and scientifically validated pathways currently available for developing genuine extrasensory perception – and everything that comes with it.
