The situation in Poland and around the world is something everyone can see – there’s no need to state the obvious.
The fact is, our lives have been turned upside down, our freedom is under threat, and for many people, material survival is hanging by a thread. Things may get worse before they get better.
So what should a person do during this time – someone who is searching for constructive solutions and who identifies with the idea of expanding consciousness and personal growth?
In this post, I want to share a few thoughts on what is especially important right now and how to navigate the current situation more effectively. I’ll do this from my own personal perspective – one shaped by a worldview and value system that includes a spiritual dimension, which should not be confused with any form of religiosity. For me, spirituality is authentic experience and a way of seeing reality that is equally available to everyone, regardless of any institutions.
1. Remember that you are more than just a physical body. You are a powerful spiritual being. What does that mean in practice?
Fear of what will happen to us on a physical level is the fundamental anxiety present in society today. We fear for our material security, our health, whether our social systems will hold – and whether we might slide into some kind of post-apocalyptic scenario.
This fear comes from identifying exclusively with the physical body. And while we are here on Earth in our physical bodies, we have capacities that go far beyond the body – capacities that can support us here and now.
Those of us who are more aware of this fact can use that knowledge to help both themselves and those around them. Some of us are here precisely to carry light and support for humanity during these extraordinary times.
Focus on the sense of connection you have with your soul – with your Higher Spiritual Self.
Direct your attention toward raising your own vibration, so that you can look at the situation from a spiritual perspective. Rather than surrendering to fear, bring harmony, stability, support, and love into your surroundings through your own presence. This matters.
Many experiments have demonstrated the power of collective meditation and similar practices – which shows that intention, and what a person focuses on, makes a real difference. Positive visualizations have a positive effect on the situation, which ultimately means on us.
The reverse is also true: when we react from fear, instead of finding constructive solutions, we spiral toward destruction.
Focus your mind on what carries a high vibration and align yourself with those high spiritual qualities – and you will feel a shift within yourself that can extend to those around you. This has nothing to do with religion or religiosity. It’s about our spiritual nature, which is simply part of who we are.
2. Nurture your relationships with loved ones and friends – and cultivate good relations with your neighbors.
My perspective on these things is somewhat particular, because from childhood I would occasionally have dreams and visions depicting events that were – let’s say – profoundly disruptive to the order of life as we know it on Earth. What I felt during those experiences, and what captured my attention, was how powerfully present the sense of human connection was: friendship, and the deep significance of being with people toward whom we feel something positive.
In peacetime and everyday life, such things seem obvious, ordinary, even trivial. We’re used to having a circle of acquaintances, friends, family. But our perception shifts radically in situations where we’re no longer certain whether we and those we love will make it to next week. The gift in such moments is that we also discover how much we truly have – the extraordinary things right here, right beside us: other people, our friends, our kindred spirits.
Whatever happens – lean into what you can do together with your circle of friends and kindred souls. There is strength in numbers; together we can accomplish more. Together we can solve problems, support one another, and navigate challenges. It’s already becoming clear that people are naturally feeling a growing need for deeper connection with like-minded individuals. Let’s focus on what brings us together rather than what divides us, and let’s build those relationships – because if things get difficult, those relationships may well be the foundation that determines whether we make it through.
3. Nurture your passions and what you love to do.
Each of us, to a greater or lesser degree, carries a sense of mission in our lives – or at the very least, a sense that there is something we love to do, something we want to do. We have an inner knowing of what we’re meant to be doing – not something instilled in us from the outside, but something deeper: a genuine sense of what is truly ours. These things may be small or large, but every one of us carries that inner feeling.
So when the world turns upside down – especially then – let’s double down on nurturing what we love. Because what we love keeps us in a good vibration, in a good mental and physical state. When you do what you love, you feel that your life has meaning – that you aren’t wasting your time on something out of alignment with who you are.
So simply be yourself. Be authentic, and don’t abandon what matters to you. Instead, consider how you can apply it and channel it in the current situation to make a positive contribution toward building a better quality of life – for yourself and for others.
And finally: if you feel called to, join me – so that together we can discover, create, and act in service of elevating consciousness. Together we can do more!
