This is a philosophical and spiritual text for the bold souls who aren’t afraid to abandon the habit of perceiving time as an unchanging, stable, fixed line of events. In this article I’ll share reflections and observations on our subjective journey through time – and on the possibility of gaining insight into incarnations beyond our present moment.

Let’s be direct – very few people today are ready to accept the worldview I’ll present here, and it’s often better to write in a more widely understandable, digestible way. Yet it’s worth occasionally reminding ourselves that the world is an enormously complex puzzle whose pieces we’ve barely begun to understand.

First, a definition that will be useful:

The Akashic Records

The Akashic Records are the energy-information field of the universe that permeates and connects all time and space. By accessing the Records we can – among many other applications – perceive the history of a person’s incarnations. Since time is not linear, we can learn not only about past lives but also about our simultaneously occurring incarnations in other worlds, and even make contact with future versions of ourselves. These future selves are often our spiritual guides – frequently our own future selves sending guidance back to our current moment.

The Akashic Records: Everything Exists Simultaneously

We must realize that each of our lives, each incarnation, influences our present. At the same time, everything beyond our current subjective present is in motion. This is because there are infinitely many versions of events occurring in the universe, creating countless alternative timelines and realities – which brings quantum physics and mathematical chaos theory to mind.

Even our past is, to a certain extent, as fluid as the future. This is difficult to accept from the perspective of our earthly – or perhaps more accurately, our cultural – need for beliefs that paint a stable order, an immutability and permanence we long for as physically mortal beings.

We all understand today, at least partially, the concept of potential futures – though even that is genuinely hard to fully imagine. Futures that both exist and don’t exist at the same time. Different variants that are present, but we don’t know which will manifest in our timeline as seen from our subjective observer’s vantage point.

If the future exists potentially in different variants, and our choices in the present (which is always a kind of fixed point in time – like a single frame of film, even though while watching we feel continuous change and shifting reality) continually influence future versions – then although we can gain insight and even telepathic contact with the future, there is no guarantee that contact can be maintained for long, nor that the future from which it originates will remain accessible to us.

This explains why some transmissions, channelings, and individual contacts with future versions of ourselves simply become unavailable at some point. We jump to a different timeline, and the previous future ceases to exist for us, replaced by another.

Similarly with the past, which seems fixed. It turns out that the more distant the past and the less physical connection we have with it, the more it may be a potential past. This might partly explain why there are so many conflicting stories about Earth’s history, the universe, the origin of humanity. I’m not suggesting this explains everything – but we should consider that the past may also be, to some degree, fluid when viewed from a broader perspective.

The Akashic Records in the Practice of Time Travel

There are many spiritual techniques that allow us – through the Akashic Records – to travel back in mind (in our spiritual body) to previous incarnations, to help them, to unblock and heal something. Isn’t this absolutely analogous to what we perceive today as Spiritual Guardians arriving from the future to help us? Not all Spiritual Guardians are future versions of ourselves, of course, but it does happen.

Techniques for “recovering” blocked previous incarnations – such as Bruce Moen’s technique and practice – show that going back in perception to a previous incarnation, locating a traumatic event, and helping that past version of oneself often improves our present state. Sometimes it even triggers the sudden unlocking of previously blocked talents.

But if we go back to the past to help ourselves and this changes our present – then over time our present becomes less and less aligned with that past. We’ve made a correction; we’ve become someone else. That old history, that timeline, increasingly stops representing who we are.

We make many such choices throughout our lives – not only through esoteric techniques, insights into the Akashic Records, or mental journeys. Our shifting self-perception, self-esteem, beliefs, the entire process of inner transformation across a lifetime – can have a very similar result. Our past and future are constantly changing. We exist in the present; everything else is relative.

This description comes, of course, from the meta-level of reality – the spiritual level, a perspective beyond linearity and beyond the material. The world of earthly matter is designed to give the illusion of limited linearity, like a video game presenting a limited aspect of a broader reality chosen by the designer to tell a certain story.

What Does This Mean for Us in Practice?

Our choices in the present continually change our experience and perspective – and determine which realities we connect with and which we lose contact with. Because it is our present choices and actions that continually shape this journey, we can at any moment consciously set a direction we want to go and move toward those realities that align with our desires.

Contacts with the future are never guaranteed to last forever – just as the past, as long as we don’t obsessively cling to it, is not unchanging. It is subject to certain modifications and distortions, like curving spacetime, as we travel through our “present.”

Things can be lost – but they can also be regained. Nothing is permanent. Everything changes. Perhaps.
